David Pratt joins Integrate as Community Chaplain

March 3, 2017

We are so stoked to announce that David Pratt is joining us as our new Community Chaplain working alongside Caroline to deliver the Sycamore Tree restorative justice course in HMP Grampian and provide one to one support for prisoners and those released from prison in our communities.

This new post, which has been funded by the Robertson Trust, is incredibly exciting news for us; David’s appointment will allow us to grow and expand our work with ex-offenders and help bring about even more real and lasting change to the lives of our clients and our communities in general. You can read more about our Community Chaplaincy work and the Restorative Justice Courses HERE.

David has a wealth of experience from various jobs he’s done in the past working alongside the marginalised and disadvantaged and a real passion to reduce stigma, promote inclusion and restore hope, worth and dignity – we can’t wait to see what he can do!

David said;

"I have known about Integrate for a number of years. I had the privilege of working alongside Caroline helping run an Alpha course at Aberdeen prison whilst I was working with Bethany Christian Trust.

Integrate is about reaching out to the vulnerable, marginalised and disadvantaged and helping bring about transformation.  I believe that the community chaplain’s job can create opportunities to make a difference, breaking the cycle of re-offending, using the restorative justice program, and helping individuals transition from prison back into the community.

I am looking forward to being part of a team, working together to bring about transformation, helping people to be part of a healthy thriving community and seeing individuals reach their full potential."

And so are we Dave!
