/// 46 year old tin of soup donated to food bank!

October 24, 2017

Mmmm! Kidney soup anyone? It's only 44 years out of date!

These decades old tins of food were donated to a food bank in Cardiff this week.

Heinz responded to a Tweet by saying: "Wow! That soup was discontinued over 35 years ago. Should be in a museum rather than a food bank! :)"

Our own food bank (Storehouse) supplies have been running very low for a number of weeks. As we draw into the colder months, those in our community living with food poverty need your support and generosity more than ever. Please would you consider putting a few extra items of non perishable food in with your weekly shop (tinned meat, fruit, dessert, soup & vegetables as well as pasta, rice, pasta sauce, cereal & UHT milk). We'll collect them in the Storehouse bins at City Church Sites on Sundays and distribute to those in need around our communities.
